At Sherpany we work hard, but we also know how to celebrate. And this month we have two very good reasons to raise our glasses: Tomorrow, we celebrate our 7th brand anniversary, and this month we welcome our 100th Sherpanee. Some would call it a coincidence, others just good Swiss timing.
We want to take advantage of this special day to say ‘thank you’ to all our employees. The Sherpanees shape our company culture and ensure a positive work environment for all of us. No matter if located in Lisbon, Berlin, Wroclaw, Milan, Paris, Zürich, or working remotely from anywhere in the world, every single one of us is striving for greatness. We are very proud of our company culture which brought us a Stevie Gold Award for 'Employer of the Year'.
It has been seven years since Sherpany was founded with the vision to create a world where every meeting counts. Today, we can say that we have left the stage of a startup and call ourselves a scaleup, but with a startup spirit. We are investing and quickly growing in new markets, namely Germany, France, Italy, and we have already hired more than 30 new talents this year alone. In the following months, many new Sherpanees will join our family and we are looking forward to getting to know them.
We want to stay agile despite fast growth. Yet, just like in the seventh year of marriage, we are also facing our challenges. We need to find people with the right mindset and quickly integrate our new members into the teams. This will allow us to keep our corporate culture alive, and further develop it. For this reason, we have to find the right line between establishing more organisational structure and keeping the startup spirit.
Just like in marriage, a prosperous relationship needs to be nurtured and all of us have to work each day to make our Sherpany family successful. In the coming months, we will invest a lot of effort into enhancing coordination between our growing teams. We have already taken steps in that direction with the organisation of two company retreats.
Last week, the Sales & Marketing team (we are already 30 members in our ‘Smarketeam’) met in Southern Portugal for an entire week to define new cross-team working methods. This will enable our customers to have a better experience throughout their buying process. And next week is our Engineering Retreat, where our over 50 experts in programming, design, and engineering from all over the world gather forces to find the best way to deliver Sherpany as a premium meeting management software.
Thanks to our company culture and our 100 hard-working Sherpanees (soon to be more), we can overcome our challenges. Our team objective is ambitious: We want to become the European market leader in meeting management software. We want to solve the meeting madness for all leadership teams and help them in running their meetings more efficiently.
Today, all the more, we envision our future better while our teams strive for greatness. And we celebrate. Because we have earned it: Sherpany turns seven and welcomes its 100th employee. Cheers!
