GDPR Compliance Statement
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most significant piece of European privacy legislation in the last twenty years. It replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive, strengthening the rights that EU individuals have over their personal information. As a Swiss company operating globally, Sherpany has customers and employees in the EU zone and thus is required to comply with the GDPR.
In an industry, where security and compliance are crucial, Sherpany has multiple technical and organizational measures in place to ensure customer data is stored safely and processed according to applicable laws and regulations. To demonstrate our outstanding security and compliance capabilities, we hold ISO 27001, ISAE 3000 and FINMA 08/7 certificates.
Although we adhere to the strict Swiss data protection laws and thus have already implemented a consistent level of data protection and security, we are working towards being fully compliant with the GDPR by the 25th of May 2018 (when the new regulation comes into force). This includes not only reviewing and revising our internal processes, but also ensuring that our sub-providers process personal information compliant to the GDPR.
Any GDPR related questions can be addressed to Sherpany’s Security and Data Protection Officer at marc.walzer @ sherpany.com.
